What is Hatha Yoga? The definition of the word yoga is union, yoking or joining together of two opposing forces. Hatha yoga is a path towards creating "balance" and uniting opposites in order to reach mental, physical and spiritual balance. Hatha yoga is well known as the physical practice of executing particular postures with pranayama (breathing techniques) which brings us harmony in our body, mind and spirit. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our efforts and surrender into each pose by “letting go” and releasing tension. The postures open the many channels within the body the main one being the spine so that energy can flow freely. Incorporating Yoga into your lifestyle will bring you relief from the fastpaced world we live in and lead you to a stronger body and clearer mind. Student Testimonials
